This Privacy Policy explains how Prospect Real Estate Inc., doing business as Prospect Realty & Management (“Prospect,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website or contact us. It is provided under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).
Information We Collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone number, property address, your role (owner, tenant, applicant, vendor or agent) and anything you write in a message.
- Rental applications and portals: applications, payments and maintenance requests are handled in our property management software, RentVine, under its own privacy terms. Screening may involve consumer reports, which are governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and California law.
- Technical information: our web host automatically records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security and troubleshooting.
How We Use It
- To answer your inquiry, prepare a rental analysis and provide property management services.
- To process rental applications and manage leases, as permitted by law.
- To protect the security of our website and prevent fraud and spam.
- To meet legal, licensing, accounting and recordkeeping obligations, including those of the California Department of Real Estate.
How We Share It
We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to service providers who help us operate (such as Google Workspace, which stores website inquiries in our company account, RentVine, screening providers and vendors performing repairs), when required by law, or with your consent.
Cookies, Analytics And Do Not Track
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, photographs from Unsplash and, on the Contact page, a Google Maps embed; those providers may receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies. Because we do not track visitors across sites, our site responds the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and request a copy.
- Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Request that we delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep under real estate law).
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we use it only to provide requested services).
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California's “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code §1798.83) also lets you ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing; we do not.
Text Messages
If you opt in to text messages, we use your number only to communicate about your inquiry, property or lease. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
How We Protect It
This site is served only over encrypted HTTPS with modern security headers. Form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to personal information is limited to people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please never send Social Security numbers, bank account details or passwords through our website forms or by email.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, including California Department of Real Estate recordkeeping rules.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
